HOST is a roving, artist-run exhibition program initiated by artists Tori Beeche, Fiona Garlick and Jasmine Clark.
Taking its cue from the traditions of artist-run spaces — including the pioneering model of Cuckoo — HOST invites artists to temporarily occupy and activate exhibition spaces across the motu.
The premise is simple and generative: artists take over a space. They bring work, ideas, and energy into environments such as galleries, studios, homes, outbuildings, and unexpected venues creating community engagement and perhaps serious artistic encounters.
Each iteration of HOST is distinct, shaped by the character of the host space and the artists who inhabit it.
HOST is an act of occupation — temporary, active and community focused.
